India- Malaysia to sign extradition treaty

India and Malaysia are expected to sign an Extradition Treaty and two other agreements during Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's maiden visit to New Delhi from 19th of January.The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Mr Razak will hold substantive talks on a wide range of issues and explore ways to step up bilateral ties in various areas, particularly trade and investment.During his five-day visit, he will also meet the President Mrs.Pratibha Patil and other leaders, including UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.<br/><br/>Malaysian High Commissioner to India Datuk Tan Seng Sung said Malaysian Prime Minister will seek more investment from Indian companies to Malaysia. He said Malaysia is interested in forging cooperation with India in the field of human resources development.The envoy said the two countries will also sign agreements in the field of culture and tourism besides which economic pacts will be inked between business chambers like FICCI and CII.
