India and Malawi today signed four agreements to strengthen cooperation in the areas of agriculture, energy, and small and medium scale industries. The agreements were signed after discussions between the Vice President Mohd.Hamid Ansari and his Malawian counterpart Mr.Joice Panda. After the signing ceremony, AIR correspondent Souvagya Kar covering the Vice President visit to African nation, spoke to a prominent Indian Businessman Arvind Choudhary who deals in software export. He said the Indian mission which existed in Malawi till 1993, should be reopened for better trade and other ties.<br/><br/>Later, the Vice President left for a visit to Malwi lake with Indian delegation, the third biggest lake in Africa. On the last leg of his tour, the Vice President will leave for Botswana tomorrow.
