India lost the third ODI against South Africa by 18 runs at Rajkot yesterday. With the win, the visitors are now leading the 5-match series, 2-1. Batting first, South Africa posted 270 for 7 courtesy opener Quinton de Kock's 103, and Faf du Plessis' 60.In reply, the hosts could only make 252 in the alloted 50 overs. Paceman Morne Morkel bagged 4 wickets, while for India, Virat Kohli top scored with 77, with Rohit Sharma making 65, and skipper MS Dhoni scoring 47.Morkel was adjudged man of the match.Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti convener Hardik Patel was detained minutes before the match. Hardik, who is spearheading the agitation demanding reservation for the upper caste Patel community on par with the OBCs, had threatened to stage a protest at the stadium during the match.The fourth ODI of the series will be played in Chennai on Thursday.
