India have lifted the Bangabandhu South Asian Football Federation Cup beating Maldives 3-1 in a tie-breaker. The final match played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday evening turned out to be a game between equals. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presented the Trophy to the Indian Team. Goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya who played a crucial role in the tournament was named most valuable player of the tournament. This is the fifth time that India won the Cup.
