India level series 1-1 beating England by 127 runs in second ODI match at Kochi

India beat England by a massive 127 runs in the second one day international cricket match at Kochi yesterday,to square the 5-match series, 1-1. Opting to bat first at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, hosts India posted a formidable 285 for 6 in the stipulated 50 overs, courtesy a brilliant 96-run sixth wicket partnership between Skipper MS Dhoni and Ravinder Jadeja. Dhoni was the top scorer for the home side. He made 72, while Jadeja scored an unbeaten 61. Suresh Raina was the other valuable contributor. He made 55.Chasing 286 for victory, visitors England were bundled out for 158 in 36 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin scalped three wickets each, while Jadeja bagged 2 wickets. Jadeja was adjudjed man of the match for his all round performance.The third ODI will be played on 19th January at Ranchi.
