Electronics and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that Digital India is being recognized all over the world. Inaugurating the 10th international conference on theory and practice of electronic governance- ICEGOV 2017 in New Delhi today, Mr Prasad said, 1.2 billion people empowered with technology cannot just change India, but also transform the world. <br/><br/>He said, India is not just driving digital inclusion but also laying the groundwork for building a robust digital economy. The Minister said, Digital governance is good governance. He said, common service centers are important part of digital inclusion and hence effective digital governance. He said, ICEGOV have received participation from about 60 countries and that shows the recognize the Indian power. Mr Prasad launched the Digital India global roadmap and OpenForge, an e-governance platform.<br/><br/>MoS Electronics and IT P P Chaudhary and Portuguese Minister of Presidency and Administrative Modernization Maria Manuel Leitao Marques were also present at the event.
