A delegation from Sri Lanka headed by Fisheries Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathna will leave for New Delhi today for a delegation level meeting on the fishermen’s issue that starts tomorrow.
According to a press release by Sri Lanka’s External Affairs Ministry, Dr Senarathna will meet Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid in the morning and this will be followed with his meeting with Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.
Speaking to All India Radio, Senarathna said that while all aspects of the problem will be discussed, he will emphasize the need to recognize the sanctity of the International Maritime Boundary to prevent incidents of trespassing.
