India and Kazakhstan today signed three agreements on mutual legal assistance to civil matters. Two more agreements in the fields of joint oil exploration in the Caspian Sea between ONGC and Kazakh National Gas Company and a joint action plan on strengthening bilateral strategic partnership were signed after the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The agreements in the areas of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, agriculture, health care and cyber security are being signed after the Prime Minister hold talks with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov later in the day. In his remarks after the meeting, Dr. Singh said that the two countries have decided to intensify co-operation in the areas of pharma, IT, mining and science and technology.
