Electronics and IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad today said India is on the cusp of massive digital revolution. Briefing media in New Delhi, Mr Prasad said, digital revolution happening in India has been recongnised globally. He said proper push has been given to it in the Union Budget. Mr Prasad informed Digi Gaon will be established in one thousand villages which will focus on tele-health, tele-medicine and wifi facility. Digi Gaon will become new model of digital empowerment. Mr Prasad said, six crore Indians will be made digitally literates in the next three years. The Minister said, India is becoming a big hub of mobile and electronic manufacturing. Mr Prasad said, India's total digital economy in coming five to seven years will become one trillion dollars. He said, ecosystem of digital payments have changed from October last year. He said, digital payments have grown by 195 per cent.
