Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said today that the Modi government has made India self-reliant in various sectors like defence, vaccine production and mobile manufacturing.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Mr. Shekhawat was addressing the media in Patna on the achievement of nine years of the Modi Government. He said, due to policies and programmes of the Modi government, India is now making defence equipment in the country, which was earlier imported.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Minister said, India is now the world's second-largest mobile manufacturer after China due to pro-industrial policies by the Centre. He said, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the initiative of Prime Minister Modi that we were able to administer 220 crore vaccines in the country providing protection to precious lives.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''He also briefed about the Modi Government's greatest-ever philanthropic and welfare initiative to provide free ration to 80 crore poor people during the three-year period of COVID-19.<br />''<b>&nbsp;</b><br />''The Union Minister said the Modi Government is working on a policy of empowerment and satisfaction not on appeasement like the Congress party. He said that the Prime Minister has made a sense of pride in differently-abled people by giving the nomenclature of Divyang.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Shekhawat enumerated several achievements including the establishment of India as the fifth-largest global economy, the third-biggest ecosystem of startups and the third-largest Metro Rail Network in the world.</span><br />
