Chief Executive of Afghanistan Dr Abdullah Abdullah has said his country sees India not just as an emerging economy but also a global player. Addressing the HT summit in New Delhi, he said, both the countries share a firm belief in a democratic order that reflects the will of the people with respect to human rights and dignity.<br/><br/>Dr Abdullah said, today Afghanistan strives to overcome political abuse and terrorist attacks. He said, these dark forces do not just threaten Afghanistan, they threaten humanity as a whole. He said, the last 16 years are a testament to Indian generosity and support as part of a global effort to fight terrorism and help rebuild Afghanistan. Dr Abdullah Abdullah urged all nations affected by terrorism to boost their efforts through intelligence sharing and cooperation.
