Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is fully committed to support Nepal in its reconstruction efforts. Speaking to former Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba, in New Delhi Friday, Mr Modi commended the people of Nepal for their resilience in facing the grave tragedy. Mr Deuba thanked the Prime Minister for India's quick reaction and assistance in the aftermath of two powerful earthquakes in Nepal. He appreciated India's pledge of 1 billion dollars announced at the donors' conference in Kathmandu last month.<br/><br/>Mr Deuba also appraised Mr Modi on the developments relating to adoption of a new Constitution in Nepal. Mr Modi appreciated the recent progress and expressed hope that outstanding issues will be resolved at the earliest, so that the Constitution that is adopted enjoys the support of all sections of the society and helps build an inclusive, stable and prosperous Nepal.
