India is expanding developmental support to the Southeast Asian nations in a modest way: Hamid Ansari

Vice President Hamid Ansari returned to New Delhi after a successful 4-day visit to Cambodia and Laos. Talking to media persons onboard his plane, Mr. Ansari expressed satisfaction over his visit to the two Southeast Asian nations. On the issue of bilateral relations, he said, India is expanding developmental support to the Southeast Asian nations in a modest way. He said, India has good relations with the ASEAN nations. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Water Resources Sanwar Lal Jat, who also formed part of the Indian delegation, said Indian Government is helping Cambodia and Laos in developing infrastructure to utilise their water resources and agriculture. He said the priority of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to encourage and help smaller countries.
