Minister for Railways Mr Suresh Prabhu has said that India is committed to the development of Nepal. He said that sanction of 340 million US dollar soft loan to Nepal for road projects is just a beginning and lots more will come in power, railway and other sectors. More from our Kathmandu correspondent. <br/><br/>Railway minister Suresh Prabhu has termed infrastructure as a pre-requisite of development. Delivering his key note address at Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2017 at Kathmandu this evening he said that since Shri Narendra Modi took over the charge of prime minister infrastructure in India has increased many fold. <br/><br/>Shri Prabhu said that Nepal has abundance of human and natural resources but due to lack of infrastructure it is not able to accelerate growth. Referring to strong bilateral relations he said that India and Nepal are like twin brothers.Prime Minister of Nepal, Vice President of Asian Development Bank, President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and other dignitaries also expressed their views at summit. Earlier in the day Railway Minister also met President of Nepal Smt. Bidhya Devi Bhandari and former Prime Minister Shri Baburam Bhattarai discussed various bilateral issues.
