India is all set for a more vibrant relationship with Malawi. Four agreements to strengthen cooperation in the areas of agriculture, education, mineral resource development and small and medium scale industries will be signed between India and Malawi on Friday.<br/><br/>In 2008, India extended a credit line of 30 million US dollars to Malawi. The agreements will be signed after discussions between the Vice President and Malawian leaders.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent covering the visit reports there is a huge scope for enhancing the partnership between the two countries, particularly in areas of trade and commerce.<br/><br/>The signing of agreement will pave the way for enhancing the trade basket which is around 70 million US dollars at the moment. It will also facilitate better technical knowhow for Malawi particularly in the areas of healthcare, information technology and agriculture.<br/><br/>India is already providing assistance to this African nation to improve its infrastructure.<br/><br/>Malawian authorities are hopeful that the visit will lead the foundation for intensifying operation between the two countries as Malawi is keen to seek Indian assistance for development in rail, road and waterway projects.<br/><br/>Earlier, on his arrival at Kamuzu International airport in Lilongwe, Vice President was given a warm welcome. He was received by Malawi’s Vice President Joyce Banda. Presidnet Mr Bingu Wa Mutharik hosted a state dinner for the visiting dignatory.
