India and Iran have expressed their resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations. This transpired when the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad met the President of Iran Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran yesterday. An official release issued in New Delhi says, Mr. Azad conveyed to the President greetings of the people and Government of India on Nowruz. Speaking on the occasion the Iranian President said the objective of holding this Nowruz celebrations is to bring people together and foster peace in the region.
