The 20th Edition of India International Seafood Show (IISS-2016) to be organised by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) will be kick started today in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. India International Seafood Show is one of the largest Seafood Fairs in Asia. The very objective of organizing the IISS is to highlight India's commitment on safe and sustainable practices in fisheries, both capture and culture. With increasing emphasis on aquaculture, the theme of IISS-2016 will be "SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE INDIAN AQUACULTURE".<br/><br/>India's Seafood Industry is one of the leading suppliers of quality seafood to all the major markets of the world. India is the second largest aquaculture producer in the world. The seafood trade fair will be hosted for three days from today where stalls will be set up by various national and international companies to showcase their specialties in seafood, ranging from equipment to marine exports. Nearly 60 countries along with Japan will participate in this International Seafood festival and exhibit their Seafood products.
