India and Indonesia on Tuesday signed 18 agreements worth 15.1 billion US dollar in sectors like mining, infrastructure and manufacturing. Addressing a business meeting in New Delhi, on Tuesday the visiting Indonesian President Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said the two countries have also set a target for bilateral trade to touch 25 billion US dollar in the next five years. The bilateral trade of both countries already tripled in last 5 years from four to 12 billion US dollar in 2010. DR Yudhoyono said that his country is growing as a strong economic partner of India. GVK Power and Infrastructure has signed two MoUs with the Indonesian government to develop green field international airports in Bali and Java. Speaking on the occasion, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said there are huge opportunities available for businessmen of both countries.
