A career best six wicket haul by Ishant Sharma put India firmly in charge at stumps on the opening day of the second test against New Zealand in Wellington today. New Zealand were rolled out for 192 in their first innings as they struggled through 52.5 overs when Sharma took 6 wickets for 51 while Mohammed Shami claimed the remaining four for 70. India then reached 100 for 2 in reply by stumps with Shikhar Dhawan on 71 not out and Ishant Sharma playing the night-watchman's role, on three. With his six wicket haul today, Ishant Sharma became the eighth Indian bowler and the fourth seamer to complete 100 wickets or more away from home in Tests.
