India has sufficient stock of food and fuel, says Montek

Deputy Chairman of National Planning Commission Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia said that India has sufficient stock of food and fuel. However, he denied to comment on fuel prices saying GOM is working on the issue and he would not like to speculate any thing before the report tabled. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday he said promotion of solar power will reduce the burden on non- renewable resources and will help the fuel prices to drop. He said the food inflation will rise further in coming two weeks but will settle after that.
