India has high growth potential for next two decades: Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that India has the potential to grow at a reasonably high rate in the next two decades. <br/><br/>Speaking at an event organised by the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum in Washington last night, Mr Jaitley said India's high-level growth will be fueled by a series of structural reforms being carried out by the government, turnaround in the global economy, and the massive investment opportunity that the infrastructure sector offers. <br/><br/>He said today, India is one of the most open, globally integrated economy and the government has taken a series of steps to improve the ease of doing business. <br/><br/>The Finance Minister said the sheer size of the country and economy will offer huge opportunity for investment in India in the next few years. <br/><br/>Speaking about the Goods and Services Tax, Mr Jaitley said it is a more efficient system which has brought the country together economically and allowed free flow of goods and services across the country.
