India has continued to maintain a robust economy despite global challenges of depression, recession and inflation: Piyush Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the centre, with a whole of government approach, is poised to make the Indian economy worth 2.5 thousand lakh crore rupees in the next 25 years.<br />''<br />''He said, the country has realised its potential and capabilities in ensuring Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan in the last 9 years. Mr. Goyal was addressing the media at party headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. He said, India has continued to maintain a robust economy despite the global challenges of depression, recession and inflation.<br />''<br />''The Minister further added that when the economies of even the developed countries are in a struggling situation, India is standing firm and is realising record exports. Today, the world is looking at India with great hopes and expectations. He said, government's efforts have resulted into transformation of the country through empowering the poor, youth, women and downtrodden. Mr Goyal said, India has scripted history in exports in the last 2 years both in terms of growth rate as well as absolute numbers. He said the government has opened the country's National Single Window System to ensure the ease of doing business and simplified the rules and regulations to ensure better and timely compliance.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister added, the National Logistics Policy formulates various technological interventions that will not only ensure seamless last-mile connectivity but will also make the logistics of the country cheaper, easier and simpler. He said, lakhs of the people have been trained under the Samarthya Yojana and the government is going to impart such training to the workers in technical textile sector. Mr. Goyal informed that out of 11 lakh beneficiaries who have been trained so far, 74 percent have got jobs. Of this, 73 percent were women.</span><br />
