President Ram Nath Kovind today said, science has helped people to build the nation, brick by brick from agriculture to harnessing the energy of the atom, from vaccine innovation to advances in space technology in the 70 years since Independence. Inaugurating Nobel Laureate Seminar at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Mr Kovind said, the spirit of inquiry and curiosity of discovery are at the roots of science. <br/><br/>He said India has an age-old history of nurturing science and scientific thinking. The President said, scientists- from PhD students to senior technologists, must have a shared sense of purpose and they must address quality capacity building, participate in national missions, and take on frontier research. He said, Science is nothing if not a global enterprise and it is the last point which is the focus today. <br/><br/>
