India, Germany will identify areas of mutual interest in bilateral trade to strengthen relationships

India, Germany will identify areas of mutual interest in bilateral trade & investment to strengthen their relationships. <br/><br/>Speaking to AIR exclusively, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that since trade and investment related agreements of the countries belonging to the European Commission have to be done through it, Germany being a part of the European Union need to take up the issue so that FDI projects from the 27 partners of the Union could benefit.<br/><br/>The Minister said that FDIs will be allowed in areas in which India has strength on goods and manufacturing sectors and also the services sector. India wants to create a market access for the commodities In the same way, she said.<br/><br/>The Union Minister said that Indian pharmaceutical companies have been looking forward to improve access to European markets complimenting each other. <br/><br/>She said, the Goods and Services tax when implemented will be helpful for trade and commerce as there will not be multiple taxes on the raw materials.
