Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her French counterpart Florence Parly met in New Delhi and held wide-ranging talks to deepen the close bilateral strategic ties. <br/><br/>The talks between the two Defence Minister ranged from defence co-operation, in particular on maritime security, joint exercises of the armed forces, counter-terrorism, to the industrial and technological partnership under the Make in India initiative.<br/><br/>Earlier, Ms Parly paid tributes at Amar Jawan Jyoti. She was also accorded a guard of honour by tri-services at the South Block. <br/><br/>The French Defence Minister will also visit the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited and the Western Naval Command in Mumbai.
