India and Finland have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) for the development of road infrastructure. Under the MoC, an Indo-Finnish Joint Working Group (JWG) has been established to promote and activate institutional cooperation. <br/><br/>The Memorandum signed between the Road Transport and Highways Minister, Mr. Kamal Nath and his Finnish counterpart in Helsinki, envisages exchange of information between road transport and road construction experts of the two countries, especially in the field of Public Private Partnership for infrastructure development. <br/><br/>Signing the memorandum, Mr. Nath offered to convene the first meeting of the JWG in India within next three months and invited his Finnish counterpart to visit India. <br/><br/>The two countries also intend to promote and develop business relations between consultancy and engineering companies.
