India have finished as runners-up in the Sultan of Johor Cup hockey tournament. In the summit clash of the event at Johor Bahru in Malaysia yesterday, the Indian team lost 2-3 to Germany. The Indian team failed to impress when it mattered the most, after an unbeaten outing in league stages. The Indians had begun the final match as favourites having beaten Germany 3-1 in the league phase. Australia finished third after beating Pakistan 3-2 in extra time.
