The ban on LTTE in India has been extended by another 2 years. The Government extended the ban today following intelligence reports that remnants of the Sri Lankan Tamil terror outfit are trying to re-group in Tamil Nadu. This has been stated in a notification issued by the Union Home Ministry.The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has been banned since 1992 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
