Minister of State for External Affairs, V K Singh informed the Lok Sabha today that India has extended humanitarian assistance worth one million US dollars to Myanmar for relief, rehabilitation and community building measures in the socially affected areas in its Rakhine State. It has impressed upon Myanmar the importance of maintaining communal harmony in the region. Myanmar has informed India about the relief measures it has undertaken with the funds received from New Delhi.
