External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said in New Delhi this afternoon that the issue of India's membership to the NSG is in fact coming up at the NSG plenary meeting. He said the plenary meeting is yet to take place.

The comments came amid media reports that China has said the issue is not on agenda of the plenary meeting of the 48 nation grouping.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had yesterday said that China is not opposing India's membership but only talking of criteria and procedure.
