India says it is hopeful of closer coordination with South Korea on regional issues following up gradation of their ties to strategic level. Speaking at the banquet given in her honour by the Korean President Lee Myung-bak in Seoul on Monday evening, the President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil said, India is an integral part of the emerging economic and security architecture in East Asia. Mrs Patil congratulated Korea on its successful hosting of the last G – 20 Summit.
