India expresses disappointment to Australia over attacks

Expressing disappointment over the continuing attacks on Indians, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Vishnu Prakash told more needs to be done by Australian government to stop these attacks. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, he said High Commission and Consulars in Australia are in close touch with Government of Australia, State governments and police authorities. Safety and security of Indian nationals is very important.<br/>Recently two Indians, including a cabbie, were attacked in separate incidents in Brisbane. Meanwhile, the Australian government has again stressed that there was no indication that the attacks were racially motivated. Acting Premier Andrew Fraser said he wants to assure Indian nationals that Australia is a safe place.
