India expresses concern over worsening security situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan

India says, the security situation in the neighbouring countries is serious and it has to be remained prepared accordingly. Expressing serious concern prevailing in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Defence Minister Mr. A.K. Antony told reporters in New Delhi that the government has taken several measures to secure its 7,500 kilometer sea coast following 26/11 attack in Mumbai. He said that within one year, the manpower of coastguard has been enhanced by 33 per cent and the state of art equipment including aircraft inceptor, boats and more security ships have been pressed into service. The Defence Minister said that there will be 46 radars spread over the vast coastal line including 29 static ones to keep minute to minute watch on the happenings along the sea line. He said, many more such equipment will be commissioned by the 31st of March next year.<br/>
