The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will hold wide ranging talks with the 27 nation EU President Mr. Herman Van Rompuy and President European Commission Mr. Jose Manuel Barroso in the 12th India-EU summit which begins in New Delhi this morning.

The two sides are expected to discuss an entire gamut of bilateral issues including accelerating trade ties in times of economic downturn, global financial crisis, climate change and counter terrorism among other issues.

The summit's key focus will be on ramping up economic ties as European Economies have a fresh look of India which is growing at the rate of over 7 percent.
