India end New Zealand tour with 0-1 loss in Test series

India ended New Zealand tour with 0-1 loss in the two match Test series on Monday as the final match at Wellington ended in a draw. The visitors finished their second innings of the second and final test at 166 for 3 in 52 overs as the two captains decided to call off the proceedings on day 5 with no result in sight.Earlier, New Zealand declared their second innings at 680 for 8. India looked like winning the second and final Test after reducing New Zealand to 94 for 5 in their second innings but skipper Brendon McCullum staged a remarkable fightback with his individual contribution of 302 and together with Watling shared a world record partnership of 352 runs for the sixth wicket to take the hosts to safety. Chasing an impossible 435-run victory target on the final day, India lost their top three batsmen in the post-lunch session with score reading just 54. But Virat Kohli stood tall and scored 105 unbeaten runs off just 135 balls to steady India's ship.It turned out to be a disastrous tour for India as they remained winless, losing the ODI series, 0-4 and the Test series, 0-1 following their 40-run loss in the first Test at Auckland.
