India held Japan to a 2-2 draw in their final game of the four-match women's hockey Test series against Japan. Today's result at the Gifu Green Stadium, Kakamigahara, in Japan salvaged some pride for the Indians though they lost the series 0-3. For India, Saundarya Yendala scored both the goals. The Indians are preparing for the World Cup in Rosario, Argentina, in August-September and the Commonwealth and Asian Games. India will now go to Shanghai to play Asian champions China, who have also qualified for the World Cup, for a three-match Test series commencing next Tuesday.
