India draw Germany 3-3 in the opening match of the Champions Trophy Hockey tournament in London last night.At the Lee Valley Hockey Centre, India's first goal came through V R Raghunath in the sixth minute. Germany equalised in the first quarter itself. Goals from Mandeep Singh (26th minute) and Harmanpreet Singh (32nd minute) gave India a 3-1 lead. However, Germany equalised through penalty corners in the 57th minute and just three minutes before the hooter.The Indian team, being led by custodian PR Sreejesh, is seeking to add to their only Champions Trophy medal – a bronze – which they won at Amsterdam in 1982.
