India has successfully developed a system which can identify a friend or enemy. A Bangalore-based laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO, has designed, developed and productionised the system.

Giving this information in the Lok Sabha today, Defence Minister A.K. Antony said another system called Airborne Early Warning and Control Programme has also been developed to meet the futuristic needs of the three services.
