India desires united, inclusive, stable and prosperous Nepal: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reiterated India's commitment to strengthen the traditional bonds of friendship and kinship with the people of Nepal. In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Nepal Kamal Thapa, Mr Modi conveyed that India desires a united, inclusive, stable and prosperous Nepal. <br/><br/>On his part, the Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister briefed Mr Modi about developments in his country. Mr Modi also conveyed his greetings and best wishes to to the new government in Nepal. <br/><br/>Earlier, before leaving for Kathmandu, Mr Thapa said,during his visit, he has been able to clear any air of misunderstanding between the two countries and is very optimistic. <br/><br/>He also said that he has requested Indian government to make flow of fuel smooth and resume supply in normal way. <br/><br/>Yesterday, Mr Thapa held extensive talks with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed the political situation in the Himalayan nation.<br/><br/>Mr Thapa was in New Delhi on a three day official visit to India.
