India has ruled out the possibility that 38 year old Taiwanese male contacted NDM-1 enterobacteriaceae, super bug during his stay in Delhi. According to an official release the Taiwanese male who sustained gun shot injuries on the 19th of last month in Delhi under went a surgery within half an hour of the incident and his post operative stay in the hospital was uneventful and he was discharged after satisfactory healing of his wound. The official release has given details to conclude that there is no evidence of infection either at the wound site or in the urine during his stay in India . The release said that one cannot rule out that the patient was not carrying carrying NDM1 entrobacteriaceae in his intestine before he was admitted to the hospital.
