India denies Google's street view of its cities

India has said no to Google's plan to put Indian cities and rivers in its application Google Street. According to Home Ministry sources, the application of the internet service giant was rejected after security agencies and defence forces studied the plan and came to the view that it would compromise the country's security, reports UNI.

The Google Street, if permitted, would have covered most of the Indian territory.
