India has demanded immediate consular excess to Kulbhushan Jadhav and his earliest release from wrongful confinement in Pakistan.<br/><br/>Responding to a media query, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, more than eight note verbals have been issued to Pakistan in this regard. <br/><br/>He said India has always maintained that Pakistan's allegations against Mr Jadhav, an ex-Naval officer, are completely baseless and Islamabad has not been able to find even a shred of wrong doing by him even after keeping him in custody for nine months. <br/><br/>The former navy officer was taken into custody by Pakistan on charges of spying.
