In the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament at Ipoh, Malaysia,India defeated the hosts by five goals to two. This is India's second win in the seven-nation round-robin touranment. Earlier, India lost to South Korea on the opening day. But they defeated Great Britain in their second match, and then drew with Australia One-One in their third fixture.
