India defeat Australia by eight wickets in Blind T 20 Cricket World Cup

India defeated Australia by eight wickets in the Blind T 20 Cricket World Cup, being played at Khalsa Stadium in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district today. Asked to bat first, Australia set a target of 144 runs after making 143 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Team India achieved the target in just nine overs losing two wickets.

General Secretary of the Indian Cricket Association for Blind, John David said that it was India's second match being played there.  He said, the semi-finals will be played on December 15, 2022, and the Final on December 17, 2022.

David explained that there are three categories of Blind players. B1, who is completely blind.; B2 who can see the ball up to Two meters and B3 who can see the ball up to Sic meters.  He said, it is a 20-over match for which there is a special-sounding ball prepared and the players batting and fielding can follow the ball after hearing the sound.
