On Day-2 of the second cricket test at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, hosts India have declared the first innings at a score of 631 for 7 against the West Indies. VVS Laxman on 176 and R. Ashwin on 4 remained not out. Skipper MS Dhoni made a brilliant 144, before he was out caught behind, just after tea.Earlier after resuming at the overnight score of 346 for 5, India lost its overnight batsman Yuvraj Singh in the opening session. Yuvraj was caught leg before on 25. Laxman, who shared a valuable stand with Dravid yesterday, completed his 17th test century, equalling Mohammed Azharuddin's record of five centuries at the Eden Gardens. Dhoni, with his typical pyro-technique, ably supported Laxman throughout the day, laying the foundation for a mammoth first innings score for the home side. Laxman scored his 17th test century, while for MS Dhoni, it was his 5th test hundred.Yesterday, Rahul Dravid amassed his 36th test hundred by making a superb 119.
