India continues its lead in spices export

India is continuing its lead in the spices export, as per the figures projected by Spices Board at Kochi. The value of spices export in rupee terms registered an increase of 41 per cent in the current financial year, as per the figures upto December 31st. The leading contributors in the spices export are Pepper and Cardamom. Pepper itself attracted an income of 1846 crore rupees in the current financial year, till 31st December. The export of value added spice products also registered a growth of 46 per cent in the same period.
