India today congratulated United States President Barack Obama on winning the elections and a second term at the White house. President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh have separately congratulated Obama on his re-election. India and the US have developed extensive bilateral cooperation and partnership based on shared values and belief in democracy, the rule of law and pluralism.
India has also expressed hope to continue to deepen and widen the engagement between both sides in the days to come.
