India condemns detention of journalists in Egypt ; issued an advisory

India has condemned the detention of journalists in Egypt . Reports say, they were attacked in Cairo while covering the political turmoil . Terming them as unacceptable, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna demanded that such incidents must stop immediately and the detained media persons should be released forthwith. The minister said that the External Affairs Ministry is in touch with Indian journalists in Cairo . The Ministry also issued an advisory for those intending to cover the protests, including obtaining the State Information Service accreditation. According to media reports reaching Delhi , foreign journalists have become targets of rampaging mobs, mostly aligned with embattled President Hosni Mubarak. Journalists became targets, beaten, bloodied, harassed and detained by raging men, most in some way aligned with Mubarak. Four Israeli journalists have been reportedly arrested in Egypt while trying to cover the escalating violence.
