External Affair Minister S M Krishna has reiterated India's commitment to work with Pakistan for the common good of the peoples of the two countries. In a letter to his Pakistani counterpart, Mr Krishna also conveyed his greetings on the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. While thanking Pakistan for the release of Indian fishermen, Mr Krishna said that he looked forward to early release and repatriation of all Indian and Pakistani prisoners to their respective countries.Earlier on Friday, the government issued orders for the release of 58 Pakistani fishermen lodged in jails in Gujarat. According to an official release, this will be subject to the issuance of travel documents by Pakistani authorities. Apart from them, seven Pakistani prisoners are also being released. They will be repatriated on the 15th of this month at Attari Wagah border. With these latest orders, 213 Pakistani prisoners will be released during this calendar year. 128 prisoners have already been released this year so far.
