India clinches series 1-0 as third Test ends in draw

Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Kirk Edwards scored superb centuries as the hosts West Indies drew the final cricket test against India at the Windsor Park in Dominica yesterday. India clinched the 3-match series 1-0.After resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 224 for 6, the West Indies posted 322, giving India a victory target of 180 runs with less than two sessions remaining on the final day. Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored an unbeaten 116 while Kirk Edwards made 110 to lift the West Indies out of danger. In the post tea session, when Team India were 94 for 3, both the captains agreed for an early finish and the draw. At the close, Rahul Dravid on 34 and VVS Laxman on 3 were at the crease. Shivnarine Chanderpaul was adjudged man of the match.Final Scores:First Innings: West Indies – 204, India – 347.Second Innings: West Indies – 322, India – 94 for 3.
